Penzance Junior Aces

A NEW opportunity for Cornwall juniors to have regular, enjoyable match practice.

Open to all Tennis Players in Cornwall, aged 16 or under on 1st January 2006.

VENUE: Penzance Tennis Club, Penlee Park, Penzance, Cornwall, TR18 4HE.

TIME: Every Saturday from 6pm until dark.

DATES: Saturday 1st October until Saturday 1st December inclusive, a total of 10 sessions..

All ages, boys and girls, from 7 upwards welcome, but as a minimum standard you must be able to serve overarm from the baseline and rally a little, and be able to keep score. Maximum standard would be no higher than LTA rating 9.1. Players do not have to hold an LTA rating to compete in �Junior Aces�.

All efforts will be made to put players against others of a similar standard. Matches will NOT be used for ratings purposes. Each match will be a maximum of one tie-break set, depending upon numbers. Each player will have as many matches as possible every evening, depending upon numbers and court availability.

There will be 10 sessions. To attend all 10 sessions you can pay �20 in advance. Alternatively you can attend any session �on the day� for �3 if spaces permit. At the end of �Junior Aces� prizes will be presented.

RULES:

1: Matches will be either one set or up to 4 games, to be decided on the day.

2: Each Competition will last 10 weeks.

3: Players may come for as many weeks as they like - cost is �20 for all sessions or �3 pay on the day..

4: All players attending SIX or more sessions will receive a �Penzance Junior Aces� medal.

5. Play commences at 6pm every Saturday and continues until dark.

6: Players will receive points - players receiving the most points at the end of 10 weeks will receive prizes.

7: Players receive 2 points for every Saturday they attend.

8: Players receive one point for every match they play, with an additional one point for every win.

9: At the end of 10 weeks the best SIX weekly scores are counted. These scores are then added to the points for total attendance to achieve the player�s final score.

10: Players should check their scores for each week to make sure I haven�t made a mistake. Any queries should be within 2 weeks of the Saturday in question.

11. In case of any dispute, my decision is final!!!
