From Bruce Tarran, The Leicestershire Head Coach. There is an Open Day on Sunday 6th April from 10am to 1pm. This is a chance for people to join the Club at reduced rates and with no joining fee. They can also play at the Club on the day with coaches and members for free. All ages and standards are welcome to come along and have a go, with racquets available for those who only ever had a wooden maxply, and lost that ages ago. Don't forget that current members get a 10% reduction off their future fees for every new full member they introduce, provided they rejoin the following year. So please - recommend your friends to come, and if not a member, come along yourself. There are also leaflets at the Club for people to distribute in their neighbourhood. Please do so if you have the time. Thanks to those members who have already done so. Current members are also invited to hit in with guests on the day and make them feel welcome. Thanks to Anne Tester who is organising the Open Day. See you there! Junior Aces will resume on Saturday 19th April from 6pm to just before 9pm. All details are at http://www.tarrantennis.co.uk/Leicesteraces.html. This was so popular last year, giving our juniors the chance for regular matchplay. And didn't they improve! It is also, of course, open to non-members. So please come along again. There will be running totals, prizes for all and trophies for eventual winners, with a lot of great match practice on the way. Team Practices have started. Friday evenings for men, Thursdays for ladies. Thanks to Colin Ayling and Sally Yarnall for organising. Personally, I've played myself on 3 of the Fridays and really enjoyed them.
